Alvaton Fire Dept Safe Room
The Alvaton Fire Department Safe Room project was an addition of a 1,876 square foot tornado shelter building. The scope of work consisted of a 303 occupant shelter for use by an adjacent neighborhood during the event of severe weather. The Safe Room was constructed with 8” Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) walls and concrete plank roof. Brick veneer was added to the front facade to visually blend the new addition into the existing building.
